Aline Desjardins is a Canadian journalist and presenter born in 1935. She began by working at Sherbrooke radio for six years and then, in the early 1960s, worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Radio-Canada in Montreal. In 1964, she took over from Lizette Gervais to host the daily “Femme d'Aujourd'hui” show that ran for 13 years until 1977. During her 3,000 programmes, she interviewed women working in different fields, addressing subjects as varied as literature, women’s empowerment, abortion, etc. in the 1980s, she worked alongside Gaston L'Heureux, hosting the popular show “Avis de Recherche”.
