All Those Sensations in My Belly

Psychedelic colours and a dreamlike tone loom in the moments when Matia is transformed and takes on her new gender. In only 13 minutes, this short animation manages to create a visual universe that plunges us into the emotions of a trans person. The racing heart, the disappointments – and the violence… We follow the character’s adventures from adolescence to adulthood. This is a tale of emancipation in the first person that gets us to feel what someone else feels, what it is to love, to live, and simply to be able to be oneself.
