Ce film s'appelle Voilà

After filming workers and making political films including the famous “Cochon qui s’en dédit”, Jean-Louis Le Tacon turns the camera on himself, his chickens and his garden as he builds a chicken coop in an excuse to offer us a new work that, at first, seems slightly surreal. Ostensibly banal, the filmmaker describes the various stages of the construction, a bit like a DIY tutorial. But gradually, it’s the chickens that catch our attention, these hens that become the main characters of a home movie. And it’s during this subtle change of focus spontaneously executed by Le Tacon that the film shows its true colours. The everyday space shared between the filmmaker, his family and the animals harbours joyous communion between the human and animate worlds.
