Adrian Jackson is a British director and playwright, a specialist in the Theatre of the Oppressed. In 1991, he founded Cardboard Citizens, a theatre project involving homeless people or those who’ve experienced homelessness. With Cardboard Citizens, he has directed more than 50 plays. In 2014, with Andrea Luka Zimmerman, he won an Artangel Open Award for a project inspired by Vittoria de Sica’s film “Bicycle Thieves”, a project that encourages London’s various communities to tell their stories through theatrical performance and film. The project led to making the movie “Here for Life” in 2019, which had its international premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival.
