After studying Art History, Julie Aguttes turned to documentary filmmaking, working as a production manager for Films d’Ici before assisting various directors including Stan Neumann, Amos Gitaï and Michelange Quay. She co-directed her first documentary, “L’année prochaine à Jérusalem", with Régis Sauder in 2008. After taking a course in documentary-making at the Femis in Paris, she continued her work as a director with “Un long cri mêlé à celui du vent” produced by the Groupe de Recherches et d'Essais Cinématographiques (GREC) and awarded a prize at the Ecrans Documentaires d’Arceuil. With this film, she continues her work on the memory of places in Marseille, the city that is also the stage for her third film, “Trois Soeurs”. “À tout prendre, rien plutôt que moitié” is her first feature documentary.
"All or Nothing" is the portrait of Pierre Giudicelli, a retired bank robber. Through the adventurous story of his life as an outlaw, the film explores the myths and reality of this character, in the secluded setting of his village in Balagne.
