The "Polis" category gives prominence to the several ways whose cinema’s able to represent the inherent diversity of every human society. Polis are in this case considered as a place to converge, mix and possibly, of social tension. Its dimensions vary according to the films that have in common to take a watchful look at alterity, whether it’s applied to individuals, social or societal groups.
