In this short graduation film, Isabella Mari offers us the saga of Naples’ Merola Park, also known as Graffiti Park because of its amazing street art adorning the facades of the buildings. For several years, the park has been used as a backdrop for TV series such as “Gomorra”, turning it into a popular tourist attraction with an impact on the day-to-day lives of those who live there, and provoking various reactions – from the curiosity of the children following the film crews to learn their secrets to the indifference of people who continue to live their life as though nothing could surprise them anymore, via the irritation of those who think cinema is pointless because “our life is already a movie”. Mari’s honest and sincere gaze becomes a metafilm about a Neapolitan neighbourhood that’s often reduced to clichés.
