Ghassan Halwani
Ghassan Halwani vive e lavora a Beirut. Dopo il cortometraggio d'animazione Jibraltar (2005), è stato principalmente coinvolto in collaborazioni con registi libanesi e arabi, drammaturghi, artisti contemporanei, editori e musicisti. Tra i suoi contributi: un cortometraggio d'animazione a chiusura del lungometraggio Lebanese Rocket Society di Khalil Joreige e Joanna Hadjithomas, un lungo contributo su diverse opere e installazioni con il drammaturgo e artista libanese Rabih Mroué, il video musicale animato Takhabot con il musicista palestinese Tamer Abu Ghazaleh. Erase, Ascent of the Invisible è il suo secondo film e primo lungometraggio. Oltre al suo impegno artistico, il suo lavoro si concentra sulla sfera pubblica e politica. Attualmente sta contribuendo alla creazione di un archivio nazionale dedicato alle sparizioni forzate in Libano. Parallelamente, sta collaborando alla ricerca di un film sul Master Plan nazionale per la regolamentazione della terra e della proprietà in Libano.
